AEX Index

The abbreviation AEX stands for Amsterdam Exchange Index and consists of the twenty-five largest (company) shares that are listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange. The trade volume and average price of the shares of a company are taken into account. This is also referred to as trade turnover. Every year the twenty-five largest players from the previous calendar year are included in the most important Dutch stock market index.

AMX Index

The abbreviation AMX stands for Amsterdam Midkap Index and consists of the twenty-five largest (company) shares that are still too small for inclusion in the AEX. These companies account for the places twenty-six to fifty in size.

AScX Index

After the AMX index the AScX index follows. This Amsterdam Small cap index consists of the equity funds fifty-one up to seventy-five. When including equity funds in the AScX index, tradability and turnover are considered.
